Consider the Lilys

Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
If God so clothe the grass, which is today in the field, and tomorrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, oh ye of little faith? Luke 12:27,28

Creative Process

It started with a miniature needle felted owl. It was fun and not too difficult although an all day project. I decided the little fellow needed a perch, and started felting a branch, that turned into a dead tree with tiny yellow eyes peaking out of a hole in the trunk. It turned out that the tree fit perfectly in an empty altoid tin and since I've been wanting to make a miniature shadow box with an altoid tin, it seemed meant to be. Someone told me he needed a name and friends. I was planning a forest scene for Homer Owl, but he has a nice spooky type tree and I've got pumpkins on my brain. So, Homer will be joined by Jacques the jack-o-lantern and Sierra the black cat (currently in progress). I also need to decorate my tin lid and decide on a background.
